Council of Elders
The purpose of the TMC Council of Elders is to continually act as an intergenerational bridge between the historical legacy inherited across multiple generations of alumni, faculty, staff, and community members, and the present, in order to assist in the long-term success and impact of TMC. In the spirit of TMC’s commitment to Sankofa (a word in the Twi language of Ghana meaning “go back and get”) and Ubuntu (an ancient African word meaning “I am because we are”), we envision the TMC Council of Elders to be a collection of individuals who, through intergenerational knowledge sharing, provide insight and wisdom that will help inform priorities and programming recommendations to TMC staff and maintain community between generations of students who have had impacts on TMC.
