Grants are available to fund an event/program that contributes to fostering and creating inclusive and equitable space on campus through the lens of race and ethnicity.
We offer a variety of workshops and teach-ins for the University of Michigan community, ranging from anti-racism to capacity building to allyhood and more. ⓧ Paused due to capacity.
Trotter Multicultural Center has many rooms available to groups such as student organizations, university departments, community organizations, and commercial groups.

"I started in MESA in October for the Black History Month coordinator position. I got to work with a program manager and a graduate student. Once that position was over, I didn't want to leave so I joined the PIE team. Then when the school semester ended, I still didn't want to leave so I joined the front desk assistant team."
Build your community and network
Join a year-long, student-led, peer mentorship program. SIBS prioritizes the holistic well-being, retention, and success of students of any race/ethnicity interested in issues that affect the Black community.
This collective is the voice of the students who use and love the Trotter building, helping staff inform policies and procedures, safety and security, and the day-to-day operations of the building.
