Trotter Film Series

Trotter’s Film Series explores, the topic and themes addressed in Trotter’s Lecture Series.

Trotter’s programming staff researches and screen films that present social content through a multicultural lens.  After each film is shown, a dialogue is facilitated to aid in reflection of the themes, identities, social issues witnessed. Each month Trotter centers and celebrates the heritage, identity, and notable leaders of various cultural communities. These celebrations are displayed in programming that widens the cultural lens, reframes world views, enhances the creative self, and invites participants into multicultural education and recognition.

Come for the movie, stay for the dialogue!

The Trotter Film Series is centralizing films exploring the experiences of transgender and non-binary individuals, with a particular focus on the intersecting identities of gender and race.

Films will be shown each month, leading up to, and following the 4th Annual W.M. Trotter Lecture.
